Jan Bynyy has been Eventing for 25 years. She started out taking lessons in Chicago, joined the local Pony Club, started competing on her first pony, Lorbus, and represented Area IX as a young rider at the 1985 NAYRC. Today, she is a top-ranked U.S. Event rider and has a well-deserved reputation for identifying and producing world-class event horses.
Jan is also quite active in the United States Eventing Association organization, co-chairing the Young Rider's committee, and is a Level IV ICP (USEA's Instructor Certification Program) instructor, qualified to teach through the Advanced three-star level. Jan also serves on the United States Equestrian Federation's Eventing Technical Committee.

The only Event rider in the U.S. to currently have two horses qualified for the World Equestrian Games, Aachen, Germany in the summer of 2006.
Sixth place finish Malmo, Sweden World Equestrian Games, one of two riders to finish on their dressage score and the highest-placed American.
One of four horse/rider teams selected by the United States Equestrian Federation’s High Performance Committee to represent the USEF in a Talent Tour at the Luhmühlen, Germany CCI four-star event.
Sixth-place finish at the U.S.’s premier Eventing competition, Rolex Kentucky four-star event, the second highest-placed American and the third year in a row with a top ten finish.
Second-place finish at the Foxhall Cup Advanced-level Spring Three-Day Championship.
2004
Third alternate for the Athens Olympics Three-Day Event Team; participated in all team training sessions in England prior to the competition.
